Thank you for visiting the REPLACEMENTS portion of the Staley Concern Web site. I welcome you to take a look at samples of what I venerated over the past 21 years of depression glass collecting. As the 2007 National Depression Glass Assn. Inc. Show Chairman for the 33rd annual show and convention in Modesto, California, I have learned a new respect for this hobby. To the dealers who have been in this business over many, many years I take my hat off to you. You are the ones who have endured the hardships of setting up at countless shows so that people like me could benefit from your knowledge and your inventories.

Now for the first time by virtue of my marketing business, I am embarking on a very different course from collecting. I am selling. This requires different skills than that of a collector. In selling I am extending the same courtesies that I was extended in buying. About 95 percent of my 10,000+ piece collection was purchased from dealers in parking lots, garages, antique stores, malls, shows, estate sales, auctions, homes, etc. etc. The balance was purchased on line from e-bay. In describing items for sale I call on my experience as past President and current member of the International Depression Glass Assn. in Sacramento CA, past member of the Fostoria Glass Collectors Inc. Orange CA and current member of the National Depression Glass Association, Wichita, Kansas. This in no way encumbers these clubs but shows you that I have been around the glass business for a number of years in sanctioned organizations. I am not selling directly from this site, but call your attention to the types and styles of glass that you can expect to see at my on line sales in e-bay. I believe that it is impossible to duplicate as fine a selling apparatus as e-bay has assembled over the past 12 or so years for on-line sales. It is the real-time marketplace and sets the price that is currently demanded for any item. Sometimes prices obtained are lower than retail and sometimes they are higher than retail. You the buyer determine that equation through legitimate auctions or buy-it-now situations.
I invite you to correspond with me directly about any item you wish to purchase, as I have many thousands that are not on any current auction. You may contact me through e-bay as my selling name is cambridged, or directly through this web site as ed@staleyconcern.com. I have enjoyed many years of getting to know the sellers in my craft, and hope you take advantage of doing the same today.
